This Tower Grove East home had always been a single family residence. Originally boasting 5 bedrooms and two staircases, it had just one small bathroom on the second floor. The larger yard in back was home to a unique 3-car garage that included a partially finished open studio space above. The interior of the home was loaded with historic charm, but needed updates to all of the systems and some tweaks to the floor plan at the rear of the home.
Some of the updates involved: Replacing the systems throughout, roof and tuck pointing, opening the kitchen to the dining room and seamlessly connecting (and retaining) the hardwood floors, moving the basement steps and second staircase to add bathroom on the first floor, creating a mud room near the back entrance, second-floor laundry, adding a master-suite, and finishing the 3rd floor to create an open media/play room and additional bedroom.
