Complete rehab of a charming 3 bed/1.5 bath home
This was a 3 bedroom with only one small bathroom on the 2nd floor. We started by enlarging that bathroom and figuring out how to get a second bathroom on the first floor. We did this by eliminating the dining room and turning it into the kitchen. The old kitchen was now home to the hall bath, laundry/mudroom. This resulted in a much more open first floor plan with extra utility.
Some of the updates involved: Replacing the systems throughout, roof and tuck pointing, swapping the location of the kitchen with the dining room (for a larger kitchen), adding a mudroom and 1st floor laundry and enlarging the 2nd floor bathroom.
