This 2-family duplex was built in 1906 and was in desperate need of attention and a gut-rehab. On closing day we arrived to water gushing into the basement from stolen copper pipes. Few elements of the original historic trim remained, but thanks to some some creative exploration from a consultant and contractor, the home was able to be restored consistently throughout and turned out beautifully.
Some of the updates involved: Replacing the systems throughout, roof and tuck pointing, opening the kitchen to the dining room and seamlessly connecting (and retaining) the hardwood floors, seamlessly connecting the first floor to the second floor, second-floor laundry, adding a master-suite, building a new carport, and restoring/replacing rear balcony and deck.
