4-family converted to two 3 bed/2.5 bath historic townhomes
We obtained this 4-family in Shaw that needed a lot of work, as one side of the building was showing signs that a larger portion of the roof was falling in. It needed so much work that it was an open canvas to historic renovation possibilities. Because the units were spacious, it made sense to convert these into 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhomes. Added bonus of having a large 4-car brick garage in back that was already separated into two.
Some of the updates involved: Replacing the systems throughout, roof and tuck pointing, opening the kitchen to the dining room and seamlessly connecting (and retaining) the hardwood floors, seamlessly connecting the first floor to the second floor, second-floor laundry, adding a master-suite, splitting the 4-car garage into two separate garages, and restoring/replacing rear deck.
